instructions refer to old ui. loading dataset in the classic ui view didn't work for me so had to switch to beta to get it to work. also the sql query only works if you remove the [ ].

The instructions seem to assume the "old" classic UI of BigQuery console. Fortunately, it was possible to understand the equivalent UX on the new UI and it fortunately worked.
