This lab is prone to bugs. The first time I did it, the domain for elastic search ended up in a configuration loop and never completed. The second time I attempted the lab, the vpc log data never populated on the elastic search so I never had a chance to view the data within the kibana interface. Extremely frustrated and very disappointed by the quality. The fact that these labs are limited to 1 hour of run time is annoying. For the cost, it would be better to follow the same procedure in a private environment.

The Steps for creating the initial Kibana Dashboard aren't clear that no data will be shown because the security group has to be added, which is the next step but because it wasn't mentioned I had to go through and redo the curl commands, re-verify my endpoint URL and try troubleshooting the elastic dump. If I had known that the data wasn't going to be there until after doing the security group then I would have been able to move on faster.
