It seemed fine except that I could not get the encrypted file to appear as per the instructions. I could see from S3 that the file was encrypted using the key I created, but all ways of reading it gave me the decrypted version.I could see from Cloudtrail logs that the decryption was happening.

Seems like a lot of trouble just to show client-side encryption. Is there another service other than Elastic Map Reduce that would show the same concept, but not take 10 minutes to set up?
