A few changes in the AWS console are a little confusing, also you should check the workflow for OSX as you label Windows and Linux a little better and don't say where OSX should pick up again.

Create Lambda function didnt work. Unable to locate credentials. You can configure credentials by running "aws configure". But re-configuring this didnt help

I was unable to deploy the lambda function locally. I created the function manually in the console and it worked fine.
