This tutorial has a number of problems. Early on there was some odd (and ultimately unnecessary) phrasing that I simply didn't understand. then as an OSX user, it assumed that i had completed steps in the Window section that it had told me to skip. But most significantly the AWS DynamoDB UI and terminology seem to have changed. The table creation instructions referred to steps and fields that don't exist. I think Amazon have streamlined it a bit so primary key type is determined by selecting (or otherwise) a sort key (formerly range key) and hash attribute name is now partition key name. All-in-all this tutorial needs reworking otherwise it's going to confuse users with no previous experience of DynamoDB. That said, I did manage to get through to the end and learn some stuff as the underlying content was pretty useful and interesting.
