You should update the CloudFormation templates from JSON to the newly supported YAML format. It's way more compact and easy to read. Plus it enables adding comments to the different template parts.

In the last task, the ELB won't work if you input us-west-2a you must just say us-west-2 for the final highly available stack to be accessible from the URL
