The bit that is missing for me at the end is seeing how the real data compares to the predictions. Using the AUC for the 2013 data is only a measure of how well the model fits the training data, it says nothing about how successful this model then is when using the test data. The thing that would make this training much better is taking this analysis right through to the end and then pointing users towards how they might expand their knowledge on Amazon Machine Learning to alter model parameters to get a better model when checking against the test data.
