CloudFormation took 10min to get ready. CloudFront didn't even get that far. After 20min I stopped waiting

It took over 40 minutes for me to deploy the cloudfront distribution, way beyond the predicted 15 minutes. CloudFront section of AWS portal was in maintenance, which took over 10 minutes to be restored, time that was discounted from the lab timer. Lab instruct student to modify its local html file, instead of modifying the lab_cf.html to change the grand canyon picture. Feels pointless the proof of concept proposed by the lab, it is hard to have a grasp or understanding of versioning and invalidation processes. I feel frustrated. It is an expensive scenrio (10 credits) and an undersized cognitive gain.

This lab would have been so much more enjoyable if it didn't take so incredibly long and be so slow with getting a Cloudfront Distribution set up. 30-35 minutes???
