In about Step 46- The directory for index.php did not exist in my case, therefore I created the file in my home directory. The rest of the steps did not get completed successfully. Also in the following steps, in the AWS Management Console navigation bar I did not find the Elastic IP. I was not satisfied with this lab.

Creating the index.php file didn't quite work. I needed to restart httpd to get the page to show up

Looks like the console options have changed (micro is only available for Amazon Linux 2, not the default Amazon Linux). Also, httpd service did not start automatically. I believe your bash script may need an extra step to start it.
