Overall this is an excellent lab! The first in all my courses that has some interesting steps and some "real" application usage. Bravo! There are some bugs to fix, though... here are my notes: Lab note :Under the Features heading, you can see the Cloud Logging and Cloud Monitoring settings that set the logging type to System, Workloads and System. Actually, cloud logging setting was "system". After cluster creation, I edited the cluster configuration and selected "workloads" for it to match the lab description. The lab instructions in Task 1, section "Configuring a GKE cluster with Kubernetes Engine Monitoring", step 3 should be updated to set "gcloud container clusters create $my_cluster \ --num-nodes 3 --enable-ip-alias --zone $my_zone \ --logging=SYSTEM,WORKLOAD \ --monitoring=SYSTEM" In Task 1, section "Deploy the GCP-GKE-Monitor-Test application", step 3 to build the image and push to the repository... the alternative "docker build" command doesn't push the image to the repository. In Task 3, the logs for the gcp-gke-monitor-test pod are all INFO level (per the filter) even if they were generated as "severe", etc. levels in the web app.
