there are problems with checker for first task. it doesn't proceed with cluster created in zone=us-central1-c, but passed with zone=us-central1-b. But lab says you should create it in some zone at us-central1. For other tasks I need to remove and re-create items for tests to pass. (last step didn't pass until I re-create pod autoscaler). and I used same command to create it both times.
