This Lab was very good, but it lacks of further test/validation. I've connected to the isolated host and installed traceroute to check the GW used at that time, then put to ping an external site and restarted the GW. In few seconds a new GW was assigned and instance could continue pinging.

debian-8 no longer exists; I could complete the lab because I changed to debian-9

you should update the code to include Debian9 instead of 8 when creating the bastillion and test instance in the begining of the lab otherwise the scripts will fail.
